Anthi is a posh-provocative person as she likes to describe herself. She started modeling 10 years ago but it’s just a passion for her amongst her many other talents.

Can you tell me a little about you?

I am Anthi, i love any kind of art, i am sensitive as fuck but still not insane, my wish is to stop any kind of animal cruelty.

How and when did you get into your profession?

I have been modeling 10 years now and basically i mostly get into it because of friendly promptings.

What does modeling mean to you?

It means more than someone can imagine beacause for me was a way of expression since i used to be really shy-and still I am-some people couldn’t believe i was the same person like the photos.

Could you describe your style in three words?

I can do it with two if that’s ok, posh-provocative.

Where do you get inspiration from?

I used to get inspired by my favorite fashion models but they are all pregnant now.

What was the most uncomfortable situation you encountered during a session ?

The most uncomfortable situation for me during a session is usually when there is not much of connection with the photographer.

What a model should be careful for ?

If the model is represented by an (serious) agency there is nothing really to be aware of, but if she/he is a freelancer then she/he must be really careful specially if you are in the beginning of your career.  From my experience i can tell if someone is a professional or not. Even from the way he approaches me, the way he speaks and of course from his previous work with other models.First thing is to check his official website if he has got one or at least his instagram page.

What has been your most memorable session and why?

Well, the not so pleasant photoshoots are usually the most memorable i think, so i will say when i had a photoshoot in London that i wasn’t very happy about it anyway (but you know ‘money’) and i had to compromise with the shitty weather, me wearing summer clothes and a really unattractive partner trying to pretend im in love, it was a nightmare.

Can you name four of your favorite photographers you worked with?

My favorite photographers are definitely more than four but i will just say two Greek and two foreign photographers i have collaborated with: Kevin Weinert, Doug Kim, Charlie Makkos, Georgios Tatakis.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new model looking to start their own career?

To find a booker who really believes in her/him. I really didn’t have one!

BONUS QUESTION: Redflag the “strange” photographer’s behavior.

During all these years in this work of course shit happens too! So as a freelance model it happened to me to be in a -not so professional- photoshoot and the photographer started discreetly touching me, of course i never worked with the specific photographer again.
